Beef with grilled tomato and crunchy Italian wedges
A flavourful plate of tender beef, grilled tomato and crispy Italian-spiced wedges.

Ingredients:
- 250 g crunchy Italian wedges
- 350 g beef
- 2 beef tomatoes
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp oregano
- Handful of fresh basil
- Splash of olive oil
- Cube of butter
- Pinch of salt and pepper
Preparation
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
Step 2. Cut the tomatoes in half and pour some olive oil and balsamic vinegar over them, top with some salt, pepper and oregano.
Step 3. Bake the crunchy wedges with the tomatoes alongside in the oven for 5-10 minutes.
Step 4. Pat the beef dry. Heat a frying pan with a knob of butter and fry the beef in it as desired (rare-medium-well done). Season with salt and pepper.
Step 5. Tranche the beef and top the plate with the wedges, tomato and beef. Top with salt and pepper and fresh basil.
