Crispy thin potato slices with onion and bacon

Fry the potato slices together with the onion and bacon nice and crispy in the airfryer or combi oven. Serve with a crispy rosemary schnitzel and peas for a simple but delicious dinner.

Ingredients:

For crispy potato slices with onion and bacon:

  • 450 g Cêlavíta's potato slices
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • Pepper and salt, to taste
  • 75 g bacon strips
  • 1 onion, in half rings

For the rosemary schnitzel:

  • 2 breaded chicken schnitzels
  • 1 sprig of rosemary, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil

For the peas:

  • 300 g frozen peas, thawed.
  • 1 knob of butter

Preparation

Step 1:

Preheat the airfryer/combi oven to 200°C. Mix the potato slices with sunflower oil, salt and pepper and bacon strips. Fry the potato slices for about 12 minutes until golden brown, shake the potato slices halfway through and then add the half onion rings.
Empty the airfryer after about 12 minutes and proceed with the rosemary schnitzels.

 

Step 2:

Drizzle the breaded chicken schnitzels with sunflower oil and place them in the preheated airfryer. Sprinkle the schnitzels with the chopped rosemary and bake at 200°C for about 15 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. When the rosemary schnitzels are golden brown, remove them from the airfryer and place them on kitchen paper. Then fill the airfryer with the potato slices again and let them heat through for about 3 more minutes.

 

Step 3:

Heat the frozen peas in the microwave according to instructions on the packet and mix in a knob of butter when they are ready.
