We employ a team of over 200 employees who share a passion for potatoes.
Even when the potatoes are still in the field we are deciding which potato will be used for which product.

CêlaVíta potato specialities offer pure convenience, are plant-based and deliciously fresh.

 

Then we process them with care from washing them with our own spring water to determining the best cooking properties.

We do not add any preservatives to our potatoes to keep this wonderful produce as healthy and clean as possible.

We introduced chilled fresh potato to the market over 50 years ago. It was a first at the time and now it is impossible to imagine the foodservice and B2B channel without it.

Proud of Our baby potatoes

When you think of CêlaVíta, you quickly think of small potatoes. And we are quite proud of that. We had the pleasure of introducing this small, tasty potato to the market over 50 years ago and it has become a favourite in many households and restaurants.

 

Baby potatoes used to not even make it to the table, as potatoes that were too small were rejected for consumption. This was because they were difficult to peel. They were set aside and resold as cattle feed. Surely a waste of all those vitamin-rich potatoes? By taking the hassle out of peeling, we came up with the idea of offering the potatoes fresh and peeled. A hit! Great for consumers but also for potato growers, who could now get more return from each hectare of potato land.

Our growers

To grow the tastiest potato, you need the best people. CêlaVíta selects the most passionate Dutch growers to make sure the tastiest potato comes out of the ground. We regularly walk the land with these growers to see how our potatoes grow. That way we get the most out of the potato variety, but also the best out of the Dutch soil. All our growers are Global G.A.P. (Good Agriculture Practices) certified. Our growers seek the best solutions for people and the environment.

 

The growers share our drive for sustainability. They choose natural pesticides wherever possible. By planting the right flowers along the edges of the fields, bees and bumblebees perform for us in controlling aphids. To constantly challenge ourselves, we have our own trial fields to test new varieties or to make our current varieties grow even better.

CêlaVíta's production process is based on ensuring consistent quality of both the products and the production process. We make our own selection of only the best potatoes from the most passionate growers.

 

Then the best care follows. From thorough washing in Veluwe spring water to determining the best cooking properties. No preservatives for this pure product! We deliver super fresh. There is often less than 24 hours time difference between grower and supermarket!

We have products that are blanched, pasteurised and ready-to-eat.
